This Old House Begins 9th Project With Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods

This Old House recently announced plans for its 2021 Idea House located near St. Paul, Minnesota

Canfield, OH: This Old House recently announced plans for its first Idea House project in 2021, and will once again be partnering with Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods in Canfield, OH for many of the hardwood products that will be used throughout the home.

Located about 20 minutes outside of St. Paul, Minnesota, the project, which will be referred to as the 2021 Modern Barnhouse, will follow along with remodeler, designer and television personality Amy Matthews as she goes through the process of creating her dream home.

“This exciting project is off to a running start,” says Steve Stack, director of new business development at Baird Brothers. “Amy has already handpicked several Baird Brothers products and we’re excited to see how she makes the house come to life.”

The Modern Barnhouse project marks Baird Brothers’ 9th project with the This Old House organization. As with several past Idea House projects, once completed, the home will feature countless unique elements to inspire design and will be highlighted in the Fall 2021 issue of This Old House Magazine.

According to TOH’s recent press release about the project, The Modern Barnhouse is slated to be revealed digitally on ThisOldHouse.com in July 2021.

“Through all my years working in home improvement television, This Old House has always remained the gold standard, the original real deal,” said Matthews. “I’m thrilled that my Modern Barnhouse has been chosen as their 2021 Idea House! After co-hosting a show with Kevin O’Connor years ago, I couldn’t wait to work with the stellar team at This Old House again, and to now be spearheading this iconic brand’s first Midwest Idea House is a dream come true.”
